“Empowering the marginalized to become agents of change in their own communities.”— Maasai Transformation Ministry
Who We Are
The Maasai Transformation Project is a grassroots ministry working at the heart of Kenya’s vast savannah landscapes — among the Maasai and Samburu communities of Narok and Maralal.
Founded by Saruni Lemargeroi, our work spans leadership training, girls’ education advocacy, water infrastructure, sports ministry, cultural exchange, and food security programs — all designed for lasting, holistic transformation.
Who We Are & Why We Serve
Our Vision
A thriving Maasai community where every individual lives with dignity, opportunity, and pride in their cultural heritage — fully equipped to shape their own future on their own terms.
Our Mission
The Maasai Transformation Project walks alongside Maasai communities as they unlock education, economic empowerment, and sustainable development — while honoring and preserving the rich traditions that make Maasai culture extraordinary.
Education
Quality schooling & vocational access for all
Empowerment
Skills & livelihoods for lasting independence
Culture
Heritage preserved at the heart of every program
Leadership
Local leaders driving change from within
What Guides Us
We honor the full humanity of every Maasai individual — affirming that every person’s story, culture, and aspirations deserve recognition and support.
We celebrate and preserve Maasai heritage, ensuring that transformation strengthens rather than erases identity, language, and ancestral wisdom.
We believe lasting change is led from within. We walk alongside communities — not ahead of them — empowering local leadership at every step.
We actively remove barriers facing women, youth, and marginalized voices, because equitable communities are stronger communities.
We are committed to expanding access to quality education and economic pathways so every Maasai child and adult can reach their full potential.
We operate with honesty, accountability, and deep respect for those we serve and those who support our mission.
We pursue solutions that communities can sustain long after our partnership — building capacity, not dependency.
“Rooted in culture. Reaching for the future.”
What We Do
We advocate for girls in Maasai and Samburu communities, fighting cultural barriers so young women can access quality schooling and shape their own futures.
Clean water changes everything. Our projects bring sustainable water access to remote communities, reducing disease and freeing families from dangerous daily walks.
Strong communities start with strong leaders. We train pastors, local leaders, and community members with skills and vision to drive transformation from within.
Through sports tournaments in Narok, we connect youth, build community, and share values of teamwork, integrity, and hope.
Our farming initiatives address hunger and drought vulnerability, providing sustainable food sources and income for families across the region.
Saruni Lemargeroi bridges worlds — facilitating exchanges between Maasai communities and international partners, building global solidarity.
“Where the savannah meets the sky, communities rise — through hope, education, and the gift of clean water.”
— Maasai Transformation Ministry
