Education and Feeding Program
A key element of making the next generation of Africa
self-sufficient
is education. Going beyond simple literacy, our goal is to prepare
young adults to make significant contribution to their families and
society at large. We provide education to young Maasai girls and boys.
So far, we support several of them at secondary and primary level. We believe
that education is the most powerful tool that the pastoralist
communities that often experience drought and famine. We combine
mentoring sessions for the students during the holidays. with feeding program. We combine mentorship as key element of holistic education; more scholarships increase chance of communities moving from poverty to prosperity.
Water Project
The access to clean water is a necessity for life, that often comes
as great cost to the pastoralist communities in Kenya and East Africa. Climate and geography contribute
to making consistent water supplies a scarce commodity. Well drilling
is the quickest, most economical and lasting method for providing
reliable and safe water. Placing water tanks at schools and communities water sheds is important to the Maasai people. Water has become source of conflict for many pastoralist communities. We are working to ensure that water provides us with platform to witness of the saving race of Christ.
Leadership Development
The greatest challenge Africa is not absence of resources, but rather scarcity of leaders of integrity. We combined conferences and workshops to equip the leaders with skills needed to lead in these phases of change and growth. We mentor and network them with mentors and opportunities. We work on empowering the community leadership, so as to fully be able to pursue transformation agenda for their people. Leadership remains crucial in transformation of communities among the Maasai in rural areas of Kenya. We host seminars and conference for training leaders for community transformation and development.
